NOTE: If you do not see an appointment date available as soon as you need, please book the soonest available and note that you wish to be added to the waiting list in the booking questions.
Parents of multiples with feeding needs, please note: Due to the complexity of multiples, you can expect multiple appointments in order to meet your feeding goals. Additionally, your appointment time may need to be slightly adjusted in order to accommodate the extra time that is often needed during multiples appointments.
All Syracuse Lactation employees are fully vaccinated and often mask* at visits. Our office has a small set of stairs - if that is a challenge for you, please contact us for different arrangements.
We are a teaching practice- we value mentoring IBCLCs so that skilled lactation care is more available for everyone. Please note that Jen is training Kelly Hueber, BSN, CBS and Kelly is often at visits with Jen. Learn more about Kelly here.
After you book a visit, an intake form will be sent to your email to fill out prior to our visit. It takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. Please note that your visit is not confirmed until you have booked it through the online scheduling here and also filled out the Intake Form.
You will need to enter your credit card number when you book, but your card will not be charged for the visit until after we meet. Please use the card you intend to pay with (HSA and FSA cards work). If you need to use two cards (for example, some of your FSA/HSA and a regular credit card) contact me to let me know. Payment is due at the time of visit, as we are not and in-network business. Lactation services should be covered and reimbursed, according to the Affordable Healthcare Act. Here is a great collection of articles on insurance reimbursement for lactation services.
AETNA INSURANCE CLIENTS (coverage for the Lactating Parent only--we cannot bill for baby) please email us for information for the prior approval process: contact@syracuselactation.com with the subject line Aetna Info.
Weather policy: If 690/81/481 have poor road conditions or Baldwinsville schools are delayed or closed, your visit will be either converted to video or rescheduled (your preference).
*As of May 2023 our office is mask optional & welcome. We often still wear masks to protect our clients, and if you want us to wear a mask we would be happy to do so- please note that when you book your visit.
